Other ways in which my film can be marketed

My marketing campaign consisted of creating a poster, magazine cover and teaser trailer. 
There are, however, other ways in which my film could have been marketed. 

For instance, there could have been a series of different teaser trailers to come out. These could contain a wider scale of narrative and could be released just before the official film comes out. 

I have included two different teaser trailers for Robin Hood. In comparison to other teaser trailers I have previously annalysed, both of these differ as they are a lot more lengthy in time. For instance, they both include a higher range of shots and narrative. 







Along with additional teaser trailers, Robin Hood also has its own website, enabling audiences to watch the trailer on, as well as having links to social media sites such as Facebook, Instagam and Twitter.

Press packs are also used as ways for films to be marketed. These are packaged sets of promotional materials, distributed out for promotional use and purposes. They contain valuable information about actors, characters, film and the storyline. These get sent out to media outlets and discuss films using information, images and audio, which have come directly from the company which is marketing the film

Merchandise is another way in which films can be marketed. As seen below by Avengers:

Red carpet events, leads to mass media covering reportage of events, such as movie premieres. This is incredibly beneficial in regards to the ways that films are marketing, as it makes audiences aware and excited about the films release. 

On chat shows, such as Ellen or Jimmy Fallon, A-List Hollywood stars often make appearances, to speak about the movie to which they've just played a role in. Again this is highly beneficial for the films marketing.

Evaluation - what have I learnt from my audience feedback?

Within my research and planning, I constantly had my target audience in mind. I therefore conducted several questionnaires and focus groups,  in order to gather information on what my audience expected in regards to different media texts, along with making decisions based on their feedback.  My main aim for my marketing campaign was for it to hold authenticity and realism for the audience.
