After analysing the conventions found on film magazine front covers, I will now be looking at five different covers from different types of publications. I will be analysing them in terms of layout, content and style. This analysis will show me how when creating my film magazines front cover, I will need to reflect the type of film I chose through the type of magazine that I use, as I have not yet chose the genre of film I am going to be making. I am going to achieve this through layout, content and style of the front cover.

Poster analysis introduction

I am going to conduct research and analysis towards the conventions of film posters. I have looked at five different posters from a variety of genres, in order to see if there are similarities within the conventions. This will help my understanding of the depth in film posters, thus benefitting me when I am making my own. Both film magazines I will be looking at are aimed at different audience and will both be for different front covers from a different film magazine.
