Potential production companies and logos for poster and teaser trailer

Potential production companies
I have conducted research into different Horror production companies. From this i've decided to combine three main production companies. This is because i've noticed that Horror films are often co produced by studios that are associated with the genre, rather than mainstream Hollywood studios.

My chosen production companies are: Dimension Films, Ghost house pictures and Blumhouse Productions

Blumhouse Productions is an American film and television production company, which was originally founded by Jason Blum. Blumhouse is mainly known for producing low-budget horror films, such as The Purge, Split, Paranormal Activity, Sinister, Get out, The Gift and insidious. This is why this company will be good for me, as I am not producing a Hollywood Blockbuster. Blumhouse is notorious for producing the Academy Award-winning film Whiplash,  which then led to being nominated for the Academy award for Best picture. In 2014, the company had signed a 10-year first-look deal with universal pictures.

Dimension Films is an American film production company and independant film distribution label for Horror films. Dimenson, formerly owned by The Walt Disney studio, is now owned by The Weinstein Company. Thanks to the purchase of Miramax and Walt Disney, since expanding they started to release a wider range of genres. Dimensions success was founded by the release of films such as 'Spy Kids', 'Scary Movie 3' and 'The Amityville Horror'.

After researching about Ghost House pictures, I have decided that they will be the main producer out of my chosen three. This is because Ghost House mainly specialise in the release of Horror films, whereas Blumhouse and Dimension also focus on other genres. Dimension and Blumhouse, however, will also help me with the production process of my film.

Poster analysis introduction

I am going to conduct research and analysis towards the conventions of film posters. I have looked at five different posters from a variety of genres, in order to see if there are similarities within the conventions. This will help my understanding of the depth in film posters, thus benefitting me when I am making my own.  Below are the five posters, each of different genres, which I chose to analyse the conventions of: 1) La La Land  2) Spider Man  3) Insidious 2  4) Hangover 2  5) The Notebook

Magazine cover analysis introduction

After looking at the conventions of movie posters, I will now do the exact same, but for film magazine covers. Both film magazines I will be looking at are aimed at different audience and will both be for different front covers from a different film magazine. In terms of design and layout, I will be able to see if both film magazines share the same conventions.  Below are the two film magazine covers I will be analysing:

Evaluation - what have I learnt from my audience feedback?

Within my research and planning, I constantly had my target audience in mind. I therefore conducted several questionnaires and focus groups,  in order to gather information on what my audience expected in regards to different media texts, along with making decisions based on their feedback.  My main aim for my marketing campaign was for it to hold authenticity and realism for the audience. I questionnaires which I have included below helped me achieve this: Questionnaire for poster Questionnaire for magazine cover Questionnaire for teaser trailer Additionally, I have also conducted a series of questionnaires post production of my marketing campaign. I wanted to gather feed back from my audience to see if they felt that my poster, magazine cover and teaser trailer were sustainable, accurate and convincing.  My posters questionnaire goes as follows:  1) Was the font I used effective in portraying the nature of a horror film? If so how? 2) Did you fee...
