One of the factors I paid close attention too whilst analysing Horror trailers was the music which was played. After many different trailers, I noticed that they all contain a sinister music, which has helped establish a mood, build tension and atmosphere. These songs trigger audiences fears of being chased by dangerous predators. I realised that these type of songs are used because they feel harsh for the viewer, and manipulate us emotionally. I am going to include slower music for the first part of the trailer, in order to position the audience with the characters. I am going to bring in darker, more sinister music as the trailer progresses, in order to create a more sinister atmosphere. During the montage I am going to play crazy, over the top and intense music, in order to highlight the terrors which are taking place.
I conducted further research and compiled a list of music that I could potentially be using in my trailer.
This song is extremely sinister and intense. The song starts off quite slow and gradually speeds up and gets louder. There is a strong orchestral sound playing, which contrasts with the dark nature. I could consider using this song in the middle of my trailer.
This song is a lot more fierce and intensified. I could consider using this song for my montage, as it will keep the audience on edge and alert to the action which is taking place.
The start of this song is very sinister and anticipating. The tempo of the music begins to speed up and becomes exceedingly dramatic. This could highlight the drastic turn of events in my trailer.
This song is a lot more gentle in comparison to the others. This song would be good to use at the start of my trailer as it will set a smooth tone for audiences and will position them with the storyline of the characters at the start.
Below I have inserted the sound files of the final music I chose to use:
I used this for the beginning of my trailer. This song positioned the audience with the relationship between the two protagonists at the start.
I used this piece of music in the middle of my trailer, when the pace of the editing sped up and the antagonist was introduced.
This is the music I used in my montage. I chose this song because it reflected the fast editing, which created an intense effect for the audience.

I have not managed to find this song on youtube, but I feel as though 'Happy Death Day End Title Credits' by Bear McCreary would be suitable for my trailer. The start of the song is very dramatic and would welcome in a drastic turn of events in my trailer. Therefor I would consider using this in the middle part.
