Shooting Schedule

Since having finished my final shot list, I am going to plan where/when the filming is going to be taking place. In order to do this as efficiently as possible, whilst also taking my actors into consideration, I have created a shooting schedule which groups different parts of my shot list together. I have not filmed shots in the same order as my shots will appear in my trailer. This is because I thought about which actors I needed for certain parts and the location/setting it would be taking place in. I have also ensured that I leave five seconds before and after each shot, to help me with editing as well as shooting each shot from a series of different angles and distances.

First day of filmingFilm section of trailer which involve only my female actor of her alone inside the house; evidencing she knows about stalker

Poster analysis introduction

I am going to conduct research and analysis towards the conventions of film posters. I have looked at five different posters from a variety of genres, in order to see if there are similarities within the conventions. This will help my understanding of the depth in film posters, thus benefitting me when I am making my own.  Below are the five posters, each of different genres, which I chose to analyse the conventions of: 1) La La Land  2) Spider Man  3) Insidious 2  4) Hangover 2  5) The Notebook

Magazine cover analysis introduction

After looking at the conventions of movie posters, I will now do the exact same, but for film magazine covers. Both film magazines I will be looking at are aimed at different audience and will both be for different front covers from a different film magazine. In terms of design and layout, I will be able to see if both film magazines share the same conventions.  Below are the two film magazine covers I will be analysing:

Evaluation - what have I learnt from my audience feedback?

Within my research and planning, I constantly had my target audience in mind. I therefore conducted several questionnaires and focus groups,  in order to gather information on what my audience expected in regards to different media texts, along with making decisions based on their feedback.  My main aim for my marketing campaign was for it to hold authenticity and realism for the audience. I questionnaires which I have included below helped me achieve this: Questionnaire for poster Questionnaire for magazine cover Questionnaire for teaser trailer Additionally, I have also conducted a series of questionnaires post production of my marketing campaign. I wanted to gather feed back from my audience to see if they felt that my poster, magazine cover and teaser trailer were sustainable, accurate and convincing.  My posters questionnaire goes as follows:  1) Was the font I used effective in portraying the nature of a horror film? If so how? 2) Did you fee...
